Meet The Maker

Stef began making jewellery from her Brighton apartment in 2011 under the name Peculiar Vintage and debuted her first collection Curio based on charms and amulets. By 2014 she was making bespoke pieces for clients including alternative engagement rings which quickly became the foundation of her work today. Stef's playful approach naturally evolved into remodelling, which she often has a waiting list for. Each piece is handmade in her Brighton studio now located in a beautiful old school originally built in 1914, amongst a community of other artists. She uses traditional ~ even ancient jewellery making techniques ~ such as lost wax carving, sandcasting and hand engraving to elevate her work and keep that soul quality.

Her experiences growing up in South East Asia with mixed heritage bohemian parents, then England during the tail-end of the rave generation and a transformative decade in the headiness of Camden London, amalgamated into a love for counter cultures. True to this ethos, Stef loves to go against the grain with her jewellery designs in favour of a rebellious, playful, rough-luxe aesthetic  ♡
